HOTA has been carefully monitoring developments and reflecting on the currently published advice and guidance relating to the easing of Covid-19 restrictions by the UK Government move to Stage 4 of the roadmap for easing Covid-19 restrictions in England on 19th July 2021, 16th August 2021 and pending changes to international travel from 4th October 2021.
In line with many of our customers, competitors and the need going forward for society as a whole to learn to live with Covid-19 in a safe way, we have decided to start a process of easing of some restrictions at HOTA from Monday 4th October 2021. This will initially be limited to the removal of absolute social distancing in our main restaurant areas (and the return of hot meal options) and the increasing of learner numbers on high demand courses back towards their pre-pandemic levels. There will be NO change to the majority of HOTA's other current Covid-19 Secure measures that have protected people so well during the pandemic to date and indeed new additional measures have been introduced in the form of air quality monitoring to help ensure adequate fresh air ventilation.
This means that daily temperature screening and Covid-19 medical declarations, as well as the wearing of face coverings when moving around within HOTA buildings and on certain practical sessions, will remain mandatory.
We also expect that all learners attending HOTA will be responsible and return a negative Covid-19 test in the 24 hours before their course starts; HOTA reserves the right to ask for evidence of a negative test at course registration and refuse entry where this cannot be provided.
We will keep the situation under review regularly with a view to the further easing of restrictions as soon as safely possible.
Acceptance of all of HOTA's Covid-19 Secure measures forms part of our terms and conditions for entry onto our training programmes and premises.
